Determination of Sulphur in organic & inorganic compounds

SulfurThe oxygen flask method for the determination of sulphur in organic and inorganic compounds consists of a combustion procedure followed by a titrimetric determination. Combustion of the sample in oxygen yields water-soluble inorganic products, Percentage sulphur is determined by titration with Barium Perchlorate using Thorin screened with methylene blue indicator. Sulphur analysis in the presence of Phosphorus is not recommended...
